 Sony has introduced their new shoulder-mount professional HDV camcorder. It supports both HDV and standard DV formats. It features in 6.1 MP ClearVid CMOS image sensor, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonner T lens with 10x optical zoom, 10 hours operation using an optional NP-F970 battery, a range of digital I/O(HDMI, i.Link, USB, Memory Stick Duo slot) and a multi-language menu.
Sony HVR-HD 1000V camcorder will be available in December and the price of less than $1,900.
