Creative Zen, a Personal Multimedia center?
Imagine you can store 85 hours of video, over 9,000 songs and tens of thousands of photos in a 12 oz. box. Creative Zen had made it happen. With 20GB and 3.8-inch TFT LCD screen, you can take your media library on the road. Plus this baby even hooks up to any home entertainment system. The Zen supports Zen portable Media Center and Windows Media Player 10 which means it plays WMV, WMA, MP3, as well as popular MPEG formats.
While Dell is selling it for around $500, Amazon.com is selling for $371.99 after saving and a Mail-in Rebate that expires after June 30, 2005.
See detail about the offer here:

Kick Ass Kung-Fu brings the Matrix to your living room ? it's an interactive, immersive game that combines physical movements with computer vision technology to allow you to avoid those nagging laws of physics and actually making the moves yourselves. Although the graphic looks a little creepy, but it is another step towards the next generation gaming.

"Kick Ass Kung-Fu is an immersive game installation that transforms computer gaming into a visual, physical performance like dance or sports. You can fight and defy gravity like kung-fu movie actors - only there's no wires or post-production needed, thanks to the real-time embodied interaction and virtual set technology." From mlab.uiah.fi

Using pooled database connection improves performence greatly. Without using pooled database connection object, connection will be created and then destroied. Creation of database is very heavy. Most of database drivers (JDBC 2.0) implement pooled connection instance; some people called it logical instance. It is acting like a wrapper, wrapps the physical connection instance. When application invoke close() method in it, it will just put the physical connection instance back the connection pool. |
