This fuel cell powered bicycle is available now, has a top speed of 25 km per hour and a range of 100 km on two small cylinders of hydrogen (metal hydride). The small box you see below produces the electrical power to run the bike, by the way. Of course it’s totally battery and pollution free, but it goes twice as far as a standard Li-ion battery alternative. It takes 30 seconds to refuel it with hydrogen (from a large rented BOC tank in your garage) and the bike also folds in half so you can load it into your SUV and feel really eco-warrior when you get it out at your destination.
